Conditions to Website Use and E-Mail Communications

Your use of this website or e-mail communication with me is subject to the terms and conditions below. By accessing this website or by e-mail communications with me, you acknowledge you have reviewed and accept these terms and conditions.

No Legal Advice

The content in this website is for informational purposes only and is not advertising, does not establish an attorney-client relationship, nor is a source of legal advice. You should not rely upon any information in this website for any purpose without seeking legal advice from a licensed attorney competent to practice law in your jurisdiction.

E-Mail Messages

The information in an e-mail message and its attachments is covered by the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, 18 USC 2510-2521, and may be confidential or privileged. If you are not the intended recipient, you are notified that any retention, forwarding, dissemination, or copying of an e-mail message or its attachments without permission is prohibited. If you have received an e-mail message in error, immediately notify the sender and delete the message and attachments from your system. Unless expressly stated, nothing in an e-mail message should be construed as a digital or electronic signature, nor is it an amendment or supplement to any agreement or other document.

No Attorney-Client Relationship

An attorney-client relationship is only established through an engagement letter or an engagement understanding. Unless I have specifically agreed to an engagement, through a letter or a verbal agreement, an attorney-client relationship will not exist. Sending materials for consideration to determine if an attorney-client relationship is possible does not establish that relationship, nor will a preliminary review to determine if the materials are within my area of expertise, or whether a conflict exists.

The transmission and receipt of the information in this website, coupled with your access to this website, does not create an attorney-client relationship. Similarly, sending e-mail or other communications via e-mail or text will not create an attorney-client relationship or impose any legal obligation on me. If you are not already a client, any communication with the firm through this website will not be subject to the attorney-client privilege and thus, may be disclosed to other persons. Consequently, do not send the firm any confidential or sensitive information unless and until you have first conferred with me and have signed an engagement letter with me.

Conflicts of Interest

My ability to represent you depends on the fact that there is no conflict of interest, which is defined by the State Bar of Texas. Accordingly, even though I may have agreed to represent you, if I determine that a conflict exists, I may, if required by the State Bar of Texas, discontinue any relationship that may have been established.

No Warranty

I make no warranties or representations of any kind concerning any information made available on or through this website. The content of this website is provided only as general information and may not reflect the most current legal developments.

Tax Disclosure Note

To ensure compliance with requirements imposed by the Internal Revenue Service (Circular230),  any tax advice contained in any e-mail (including any attachments), unless otherwise specifically stated, was not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used, by any taxpayer for the purpose of (1) avoiding penalties imposed under the Internal Revenue Code or (2) promoting, marketing, or recommending to another party any transactions or matters addressed in this website.

Complaints

The State Bar of Texas investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by Texas attorneys.
